Winter Tree
Identification

A walk in the colder months can be equally delightful as in the summer with recognising a whole variety of trees by bud, bark, shape and other key features.

This fun and informative day will be divided between being outside looking at mainly native trees and time inside exploring how to use simple keys and learning the basic 'botanese' (botanical language) used with winter tree identification.

Towards the end of the day we will finish inside with participants having the opportunity to put their skills into practice and identify some trees themselves by their twigs and buds brought into in the meeting room using the keys and hand lenses provided by Jennie.

"Thanks for the online class last night, it has definitely helped me with confidence in identifying conifers and great to hear some really interesting facts which I haven’t heard before. Its one of the situations when I wish one could download someone’s knowledge and plug it straight into my brain, I look forward to learning more with you"

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for the workshop last night. It was exactly what I was looking for, and you are such a brilliant teacher! What I wouldn't give to spend a few hours walking in my local woods with you to make sense of it all. Please would you add me to your mailing list as I'd love to learn more"
