During this time of Covid 19 lockdown and having to be inside more, we can still Forest Bathe!
Nature isn’t just outside, we can also find it inside. Join me for an experience where we will travel to some beautiful landscapes and spend some time in nature together whilst physically apart.
A bit about Forest Bathing
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin Yoku, Forest Bathing involves gentle meditative exercises, such as focusing on the breath and mindfulness techniques which are used to reduce stress, still the mind, and cultivate a richer relationship with ourselves and the natural world.
During our Forest Bathing together you will have the opportunity to explore nature that can be found in the most unusual places, whilst also enjoying the beauty, intrigue, delight and comfort that can be found by engaging with the natural world this way.
What to bring to the session
– Three objects from nature such as a leaf, twig, feather, stone, piece of moss, pine cone. If in a city, you may find something under the trees that the council have planted or you might be surprised what you find in your home, the wooden leg of a chair, a potted plant, an apple or stone from the pavement. (CAUTION: please be careful of any hazards when picking things up from the ground i.e. dog poo, glass or needles)
– A warm drink and piece of food
– A blank piece of paper and pencil.
Please note (as I am sure expected!) all mobile phones will be asked to be switched off for this workshop.
