Introduction to Plant Identification and using a Flora

Introduction to Plant Identification and using a Flora

I look forward to welcoming you on this Introduction to Identifying Plants workshop.

During our time together we will work with a variety of different resources to help you become more confident with identifying native UK plants in the field. The language used in identifying plants, key physical characteristics of flowers, stems and leaves will be explored, as well as some ethnobotanical facts and stories that will broaden your relationship with each species we come across.

We will then go on a walk together along the stunning Findhorn River where you will have the opportunity to identify different species with your newfound skills, ending the day with a simple voluntary test for those who fancy a wee challenge.
