Venue: Covesea, Moray

Join Jennie along the shores of the stunning Moray Firth and learn how to identify some common seaweeds as well as how to safely and sustainably harvest them.

The physical characteristics (morphology) of seaweed will be discussed, how they grow and their ecological relationships as well as looking at their uses both historically and in the present day.

We will end the session sampling some of the seaweeds we have harvested (depending on the condition of the water that day) with a wee lunch by the shore.
