Rewilding self – Rewilding the environment

Join me for a fun and interactive talk exploring the concept of rewilding and what this means to modern humans and the planet as a whole. Is rewilding a concept, methodology and ‘experience’ that can knit together what has become unravelled as we become more disconnected from nature through digital technology? Be prepared to play some games and enjoy a plant or two!

A talk at the inspiring SCAPA fest. The UK’s Yoga and Adventure Festival at Ardkinglas Estate, Loch Fyne.

Seaweed – identification and uses

A workshop at the inspiring SCAPA fest. The UK’s Yoga and Adventure Festival at Ardkinglas Estate, Argyll and Bute.

Join me along the magnificent sea loch of Loch Fyne to learn how to identify some common seaweeds, explore their uses both historically and in present day. We will also have a camp fire at the end of the workshop to taste some of the fascinating macro algae that live in our Scottish waters.

14th June

Woodland Walk – the ethnobotany and identification of plants

Tree and plant identification and uses. Learn how to identify some of our native and ‘naturalised’ plants, find out about their uses, currently and historically. You will also get the chance to try a few nibbles of wild food and/or drink whilst on our wanders!

This event will take place in Forres, Moray and run from 13:00 – 3:30pm

15th June

Seaweed – identification and uses

Join me for an afternoon and early evening of wonder and awe as you learn how to identify some common seaweeds, explore their uses both historically and in present day. We will end the day cooking an evening meal over the fire using some of the our harvest as the sun sets over the Moray Firth.

23rd – 25th August

Digital Detox Woman’s rewilding break

A truly immersive wilderness experience where the phone get’s left at home! (Jennie will have one for emergencies). An opportunity to delve deeper into ‘clock time’ that is dictated by the sun, sea and fire that takes it’s time to produce coals to cook over, wild food that will reveal itself for us to eat and crafts that will take our hands back in time to a place where cortisol is a thing of the past. Wild camping is part of this trip.
